Learn How To is an online learning system developed by ACS Distance Education, which has been developing and delivering education across the UK since 2001. The idea came as a response to a rapidly changing world and the need to deliver high quality short courses to people. ACS was formed to provide diverse, flexible and very practical learning experiences.
Supported by around 40 academic staff in England, Scotland, and beyond, Learn How To offers many hundreds of short 1 to 5 hour online courses; each culminating in an online assessment. Passing an assessment leads to awarding of a digital badge: a micro-credential to prove you completed that course.
Ideal for professional development, preparation for a new career path, or initial pre career training; these courses offer a high quality education, but in a highly accessible form. Education at your fingertips, that would keep alive the flame of curiosity that burns in those who need to know more! And so Learn How To was born. Drawing from ACS’ enormous range of topics, and offered in a way that fits with any lifestyle.

Mr Mason worked as a municipal parks director, then as a lecturer in the various colleges through the 1970’s before founding ACS Distance Education in 1979. He has worked between Australia and the UK since the 90's. He is a fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Horticulture (UK) and the Australian Institute of Horticulture.
Throughout his career he has written over 180 books, been editor of 4 different magazines, served on many industry committees and developed hundreds of courses for ACS.
ACS courses have trained hundreds of thousands of students over the decades. Mr Mason and his team have a widely established reputation as innovators in education, with high standards of quality and service.
