Fraxinus belongs to the plant family Oleaceae. Ash timber has been widely used in the past for wood craft including furniture and tool handles. As a plantation tree, timber can take 60-70years to fully mature. In this course you will learn about different varieties of ash and their uses, and to develop your knowledge in classification, identification and culture of plants, from the genus Fraxinus. Includes a table of useful species.
