Depressive disorders are much more extreme than general feelings of sadness and despondency. They involve disturbances to positive moods which are protracted. Depression is one of the most common mental health disorders, and is slightly more prevalent in women than men. Mood disturbances, depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns can be difficult to manage. In this course, you will begin learning how to recognise common symptoms in order to create a basic management plan.
